Proximus Basecamp, located in Tubize, is the beating heart of Belgian football. This state-of-the-art training complex is home to both the Red Devils and the Red Flames, offering world-class facilities for elite athletes and youth teams alike. With the recent renovation of its indoor and outdoor facilities, the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) demonstrates its commitment to innovation and sustainability. Energy-Efficient Lighting
For this prestigious project, Lumosa BeLux supplied the entire Proximus Basecamp with high-performance LED lighting. All seven outdoor pitches, including the cécifoot fields, were equipped with Lumosa CS860 PRO luminaires without lightguides. The main pitch achieves an impressive lighting level of 800 lux, fully compliant with the requirements of the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) for professional football. The remaining training pitches provide lighting levels ranging from 300 to 500 lux, making them ideal for training sessions and youth matches.
The indoor football hall was also completely upgraded. Lumosa installed PS430 PRO and PS230 PRO luminaires, providing uniform light distribution and optimal visibility during training sessions. This ensures a comfortable training environment where players can perform at their best, regardless of the time of day or weather conditions.
Focus on Sustainability
The choice for LED lighting reflects the Royal Belgian Football Association's commitment to sustainability. Thanks to Lumosa's energy-efficient technology, both energy consumption and CO₂ emissions are significantly reduced. Lower operating costs and a longer lifespan make the installation a future-proof investment for the training complex.
Smart Lighting Control with LumosaTouch
To maximise flexibility, the Royal Belgian Football Association implemented LumosaTouch throughout the facility. The system allows users to remotely control individual pitches, adjust lighting levels, create training zones and schedule lighting automatically based on training programmes and match activities.
This gives coaches and facility managers complete control over the lighting while ensuring the right amount of light is available exactly where and when it is needed.
